CS38/39 3-day Refresher Course (206/306/308)

Please note – this course is strictly for refreshers and experienced operators only
This combined climbing refresher training course runs the candidate through all of the relevant theoretical and practical aspects of Tree Climbing, Aerial Rescue and Using a Chainsaw from Rope & Harness.
Theoretical subjects include equipment selection and inspection, the law relating to tree climbing and tree cutting, tree safety inspections, knots, rescues, first aid and starting and using a chainsaw safely in a tree.
The practical aspects of climber training include basic climbing techniques, choice of anchor points, moving around the canopy, branchwalking, rescues, and receiving, starting and using the chainsaw safely.
Course pre-requisites – NPTC Tickets
- NPTC 201/202 – Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross-cutting (CS30)
- NPTC 203 – Felling Small Trees (CS31)
- NPTC 206 /306 – Accessing a Tree with Rope & Harness, Aerial Rescue (CS38)
- NPTC 308 – Aerial Cutting of Trees using Free-fall (CS39)

Course fee: £380pp (plus VAT)

Maximum 4 people
10% discount is available if a client provides all 4 trainees for the course.
Climbing kits, saws and PPE are available for use by candidates who do not yet have their own equipment.
